The beautiful surrounding area of L'Orne and the Andaines forest and the delightful spa town of Bagnoles de l'Orne make Madre an ideal base for a whole range of activities which has something for everyone.  Walking, riding, cycling and fishing are all available locally, with sports including tennis and golf, nightlife including a casino and a fantastic Michelin starred restaurant available in Bagnoles-De-L’Orne which is only a 10 minute drive away.

A lake with sandy beaches ideal for children and adults alike is available in La Ferte Mace (15 minutes drive).

Travelling further afield, the Normandy D-Day beaches and Le Mans including the historic race track and museum are available under 2 hours.  Other attractions nearby include Domfront, Mont St Michel, Bayeux, Tours & Loire Valley.
